Where to get a battery clock repaired?

I have an inexpensive battery-powered mantel clock that has started to run slow. I've changed the battery and it's not that. The clock was not expensive but I do really like it and don't think I'd be able to get another one like it.

It has one of those glued-on battery mechanisms at the back and I wonder would I be able to take it somewhere and get that battery mechanism replaced. A Google search hasn't been that helpful (I suppose people usually just replace the whole clock, but as I say I really like this one).

Would appreciate a recommendation if anybody has one. Thanks.

Hi dubgem

You can buy the mechanism in Maplins. Bring the clock or the mechanism with you to check the size.

Great, thanks Brendan Burgess. And with a bit of luck they'll show me how to replace it too
