where to find warning indicator on VW Bora

Help please. Hubby has a habit of not turning off the lights when he's parking his car so the warning "buzzer" is invaluable. Trouble is, it's no longer working and he can't find where it's located in the car. Anyone be able to tell us where it is located. Thanks
 
Had the same problem with myself with my VW Bora just a month ago.. just bring it to a garage as it is linked with the door lock and apprently is not as easy fix. Couldnt tell you what it cost though as my car is still under warranty
 
Had the same problem in 2002 Octavia drivers doorlock had to be replaced. Like dustie mine was replaced under warranty.My car had aftermarket alarm fitted and when this lock was faulty the drivers door could be opened without activating the alarm.......not good.
 
Thanks for your reply caff. His car doesn't have an alarm, so I guess the problem is different. He usually does all work on his car himself, so he's slow to bring it to a garage - he'll probably have to do so --- eventually.
