I am looking to stain larch wooden floors a kind of medium-dark antique oak colour. I have found a few stains but have not found a great range of colours or lightness/darkness i.e. what I have found is either very dark or very light or very orangey.

Does anyone know where to get the best range of stains?

Thanks

Have you looked at Liberon stains? They are by far the best for colour and ease of application.

I think it was in M.R.C.B. paint in the Corn market that I got powdered stain.

You mix it with a base liquid, meths I think, to get what ever colour you want.

Where in the country are you? If you can get yourself to South Dublin, to the Stillorgan Decor Centre (to the left of the shopping centre) they have a really good selection.

I am in Dublin, should have mentioned this.

Thanks for your replies, I will check out MRCB and Stillorgan Decor.
