Where to buy Phones in Hong Kong

In Hong Kong in a few weeks and looking to buy a phone. Have a previous post about Electronics but this is more specific. Hope its in right forum if not mods move

Looking for decent one and basic one for Miss Gunner

Use them as a guidance and then shop around

Not going to spend a fortune ie N95 however nokia 6288 or n73 look good.Does not have to be a nokia just looking for one good camera and can store music

What should I be looking out for in relation to see if the phone will work here

go to the mongkok computer centre should be easy to find with a quick google. Has loads of little stalls selling all types of electronics. All the bigger established chains are nearby on the same street

Stick to a reputable store, much of the electronics are knock-offs from mainland China

Take care that you know exactly what model you want & be sure that you have all the parts. I was warned that it's quite common there to pick up a really good bargain & then find that you have to go back & buy some vital component that they totally rip you off for.
It's also common for the sales people to tell you another item is every bit as good & try to sell you their preferred item, which generally is NOT a good bargain.
Make sure wherever you purchase is recommended by the HK tourist board.

You will find bargains as all the shops are tax free. It's good to be aware of the pitfalls & scams though.
