Where is the best place to buy a TV stand?

I am going to check out Harvey Norman. But is there anywhere else I should look?

My TV is 24" high.
When I am sitting down, my eye level is 48"

Stand height: 36"
Half the screen: 12"
Eye level: 48"

But all the stands seem to be about 21" high. Why are they so low?

Adverts.ie, great selection, often 25 percent of new price..plus reduce waste etc

better yet wall mount it, pick ur own height..

argos have a good selection

I looked, but as one can't really compare a few of them at the same time, in the flesh, so to speak, I didn't bother with them.

I got one in Harvey Norman.

Apparently 18" to 20" is the recommended height so that people are looking slightly down at it.

It's probably safer to have it lower as well.

The Furniture Liquidator in Stillorgan,Santry and also Coolock. They have lovely low and high level solid oak and shaker oak TV stands for not alot of euros at the moment. These are proper chunky solid and well built TV cabinets and stands.

Yep,nothing an sds drill some frame fixers, size 3 pozi bit and a screwgun cant sort out quickly with regards a plastered brick wall or a brick wall with insulated slab over it.

Of if mounting on a stud wall then use 5mm x 50mm wood screws and screw into the wooden studs and noggins behind the plasterboard. You will need a stud finder 1st to locate the studs and noggins behind.
