where is the airside link from terminal 2 to terminal1 located

Flying out of Dublin's new terminal 2 next Saturday, will need to have a nicotine fix at the smoking area in terminal 1, does anybody know where the airside link is located in terminal 2? and secondly if you do - how long does it take to walk?

At the gate level on T2 you can follow the signs for gate numbers 101 to 220 and this will bring you to T1.
you would need to give your self a good 10 mins each way.

Flying to the states next month with Aer Lingus from terminal two, how far in advance should I give it to allow for check-in, walking etc, is 3 hours too much?

3 hours is plenty slave1. That should be enough time for checkin, security and CBP with a bit of wandering in between.
