Where do I get the best mortgage?

I assume I will get the best advice from an independent broker. Any recommendations?

I could also approach my bank (Permanent TSB). Any advice?

Is an interest only mortgage advisable?
 
I think its best to go with AIB/BOI as they have the best rates. I had approval before from EBS in '09 but delayed buying coz of crash had just applied with AIB yesterday again and told that var. is 3.24%, 3yr fixed is 4.8% & 5 yr fixed is 5.35%. I think though getting a mtg. is more difficult these days but I will see what happens.
Dont even think of taking interest only mortgage, its mad to do that, but check with bank if they'll offer it which I doubt.
