Just had the kids in the car and they turned on spin 103.8,there was a news bulletin on and it said there was a shooting in France and three children and one adult had been killed..

The newsreader went on to say that the person doing the shootings was believed to have "Legged it" on a motorbike afterwards.

Now maybe Im getting old,but to use slang when such an horrific incident has occurred is just so out of line!
I would have thought "legged it" was more appropriate in a fun situation?

Seems like they have now changed it ..
I know some of my family emailed the station to highlight how inappropriate it was..

Spin 1038 are terrible for that, constantly referring to the government as "Gilmore's Gang" and "Kenny's Crew" etc. Its like news for 5 year olds, read by 5 year olds sometimes.

But isnt Spin 1038 actully for 5 year olds to listen to?

Its like a radio station version of the evening herald
