I am a PAYE employee and also have a tax liability for rental income for the year 2004. My question is when is the tax on the rental income for 2004 payable??
Have you read the which includes a link to the Revenue IT70 Guide To Rental Income? Might be worth checking out. As ever, get independent, professional advice - e.g. from an accountant/tax advisoe - if in doubt

I depends if you also had a liability for 2003. If you had, you should have paid some prelminary tax by 31 October 2004(100% of 2003 liability will suffice). If not, you should pay your 04 liability by 31 October 2005.
I did have a rental income liability for 2003 although I do not know what it is! I submitted a Form 12 for 2003 in February 2004 and despite enquiries have not received a Balancing Statement yet. When I enquired re. delay they said that they were checking the applicability of Top Slicing Relief on a redundancy payment I received!! Would the advice be to pay an estimate of the 2004 due amount??
