When does Trade Republic post interest?

I set up a Trade Republic account in July, transferring cash into it at the same time.

Looking at my balance online, I can see no transactions apart from my initial deposit.

So 4 months have now passed without any interest being applied.
I thought interest accrued daily and was paid out monthly.

Should I have received interest by now?

I've had a look at the Trade Republic website and found this...

This seems to suggest that opening a cash account is not sufficient. I have to choose to opt into receiving interest.

Is this correct? I've opened an interest bearing account but it's not really one - not unless I ask Trade Republic to turn on the interest earning function.

This was never communicated to me when I opened the account.
I've checked all the emails I received at the time.

I've now re-examined the app.

On the Cash tab my available balance is displayed. Below this is found the list of cash transactions (deposits/withdrawals).
This is all I would expect to see on such a screen.

There is nothing to indicate that further scrolling is possible.
However, if do swipe up, yes there is an Activate (interest) button.
I would never have thought to look here.

Note: The Activate button is not present on the website, only on the app.

I don't know whether to feel annoyed with Trade Republic or stupid at myself.
I've lost 4 months interest €233
