When do sign off?

Hi,

I'm on jobseekers benefit and I've just accepted a place in college as a mature student starting 28th September.

When do I sign off? Can I wait until the course starts or must I sign off now?

Sign off on the 27th.

If you've been on Jobseeker's Benefit for 9 months, or if you received statutory redundancy, you might be entitled to Back to Education Allowance (depending on the course you're doing).

Check the Back to Education link on www.welfare.ie or ask at the office where you sign on.

No harm in checking, all they can say is no!
