What TV/DVD player to buy (Best buy)

I want to buy a wide screen TV probally 32" with a DVD, there seems to be a massive difference in price, are any of the cheaper ones worth buying, the dearer end is around €2000 and the cheaper end around €600 - 700, anyone know of a good buy? I'm not too hung up on brand names as long as the TV/DVD are good quality and value

Best is panasonic, stay away from philips, sonys picture isnt what it should be, if you get a panasonic 32" at a reasonable price buy it, dont think the DVD players are a problem

In a previous discussion I proposed the motion that widescreen TVs are just a gimmick and most people agreed.
There's no need for them. They've no real advantage over ordinary TVs especially as most TV programs aren't broadcast in widesceen so unless you watch nothing but DVDs they're really not worth paying double the price.
An ordinary 32" Beko is only about €250 in DID Electrical and possibly Powercity.
