Hi Guys

If you lost some CRH share certificates that go back 20 years, what do you do in this case?
Plus is there a way to get them reissued so that you can follow the above advice?

Any response appreciated.

Any use?
If you have mislaid or lost any of your share certificate(s) you should contact Link Registrars on 00 353 1 553 0050 to arrange replacement(s).

I think that this process is of benefit to you.

Instead of having to get the shares reissued, they are going to be automatically cancelled.

Your shares will be registered with Computershare US.

In time, you will be able to switch them to another stockbroker.

If this process were not taking place, it would be very awkward for you to sell your shares. You would have to give them an indemnity.

Thanks Brendan, would we be able to transfer them to Degiro from Computershare US?

Note we don't have an American bank account.

Hi Guys, if a couple as a joint CRH share holders returns a US Tax Certification by paper using the post method, where do we see that return on our USA Computershare profile?

Any response appreciated.

Do you mean a W-8 BEN or something else?

It was a tax form that was sent to us on the 24th of August, we just sent it back to Computershare, I thought reference to this form would be visible on our profile in the Computershare website

I'm just about to start looking after CRH shares as part of an estate I'm Executor for. I'll ring registrar tomorrow, but any advance info of what I need to do would be great. I think about 60k euro worth of shares at date of death in December 22. Plan is to sell them.

@David_Dublin

Did you get the documentation telling you what to do?
Are the shares in share certificates or in an account?
If they were in certs, the Registrar is now Computershare U.S.

Thanks for the reply @Brendan Burgess

I don't have recent post from the Deceased, and grant of Probate only issued last Friday so I'm only really getting going now. I had informed Link Asset Services of the death back in January. I have the Certs, not an account. All new to me this stuff! Slunds like I'll be told to deal directly with Computershare US when I try calling tomorrow.

Hi All,

Over the last 3-4 weeks I have completed this process for my mother and her sister. They both had inherited a small number of shares from their sister who left them in her estate about 4 years ago.

They are both registered on Computershare US and their dividends payments have been set up, although one go in before the cut-off date (for US TAx) and the other was after it. Its a small shareholding so not overly concerned about that.

They now want to sell their shareholdings in CRH and they and I have no idea what to do next. I have read on this thread about the Medallion certificate etc. Can someone please tell me how I go about selling the shares? Do I need a broker??
My mum and aunt live and are residents in Ireland.

Thanks

I spoke to a broker this morning who advised that once you have the holding statement you can sell these through a broker who can do the Medallion Guarantee stamp. The guy I spoke with said his company didn't do this but he thought Davy's did. This is as far as I've got in the process.

I set up my CRH on the US Computer Share with the W8 done. The latest dividend arrived but it is taxed at source at 25%. Is that correct?

I have a small number of CRH shares and at this stage want to sell them but finding it extremely difficult. I am not getting much help - told to go to a broker and while not recommending anyone suggested Goodbody or Davy - I have original share certificates and these are very old shares and the original brokers are no longer in business.

i have being reading the thread and wondering has anyone any recent experience - one person suggested 'lodging' shares with Davy and this is registered on the London stockexchange - I dont understand this as I only wish to cash in these. thank you

Hi Whiz

How did you get on with this?

I have been asked by someone who has CRH shares but hasn't got the certs. Doesn't have any documentation from CRH from the time of the transfer to Computershare USA.

Doesn't know where the dividends are.

100 shares so worth about €7,000. I wouldn't worry too much about the dividends.

I rang Computershare on her behalf on
01 696 8467
After selecting Option 1 twice, I got through immediately to a very helpful person.

They couldn't give me any information.
But as I was able to give them her name and address and they said that they would send out a statement of holding and forms to do with getting the dividends paid to her address.
