what to do after break up?

myself and my partner broke up a year ago, he hasnt been working and so hasnt paid anything into the mortgage so i have had to pay it all for the last 8/9 months approx.
house needs a lot of work so therefore i cant rent it out or consider selling. also cant get the work done as the mortgage cleans me out every month.
even though i have been paying the mortgage and can prove same i dont think the bank will agree that i can afford it. cant afford a solicitor either.
anyone know what i can do? is there a way to force him to pay into the mortgage as its still under his name.

Presumably you did not have an agreement in place when you bought?

If not then there seem to be only two options: (a) come to some mutual agreement between the two of you on what to do or (b) talk to a solicitor.

Time for a solicitor to get involved. Your only option may be to jointly suffer the loss of selling up.
