I had been employed as a temporary service officer since 2002 for periods ranging from 6 to 9 months yearly (most of those periods with less than 26 weeks break in between). I am now permanent service officer the last couple of weeks. I have been paying into a pension all along those years with reckonable service also. I am currently in the "single pension scheme" but not sure it s to my advantage... Also I am on the "modified PRSI" pay scale ( I am paying A1 PRSI) and maybe I should be on the Personal Pension Contribution (PPC) scale?
Can anybody clarify my situation please if you could.
