I was lookin at my norton anti-virus activity log, this - "C:/windows/system32/sychost.ie" is preparing to access the internet. - constantly comes up when i log on the the internet. does anyone know what this is?

Are you sure that it's sychost.ie and not ? See for issues relating to firewalls and this executable/process.
