What is the cheapest way to buy German shares?

I am planning to buy some German shares. I normally use Campbell O'Connor but they go through a German agent so there are additional fees to be paid.

Sharewatch are quoting 0.3%.

Has anyone else bought German shares directly?

I have Brendan, thro TD Waterhouse. Fee of €20 per trade or €15 for frequent traders. Its an online account tho, so you won't get certs.
