What happens if Government guarantee is not renewed?

Say if the guarantee is not renewed, and one has money on deposit in INBS. If there is a run on money out of the society, and it closes its doors to the public. Is there any way to get ones money back?.
 
Deposit Guarantee of €100,000 will still be in place. THere would be a mini run on the bank I would think.

If I still have say €250,000 in Anglo is it all covered under this extended guarantee as before?

Yes, 100% guaranteed until Dec 31, thereafter max of e100k per person per institution covered by Irish deposit Guarantee Scheme.
 
Thanks Slim - bet the Government hope this extended guarantee can just lapse on Dec 31 with no fuss as everybody will be so busy with Christmas,New year etc.
