What goes with the NCT guys ?

About a month ago I arranged for NCT of my wheels. Wanted to get it done in Ballymun ( there are two test centres at the Ballymun location). First avail slot was 5 weeks from then ( i.e. about a week from now ).

Yesterday got a letter from them saying they had cancelled my booking and requesting I book a new slot.

Anyone else experience the NCT guys doing this ?
 
Called the NCT booking centre

Olddog : Why was my test cancelled ?

NCT : A tester called in sick

Olddog : Ten days before the test date ?

NCT : Well maybe a machine broke down

Olddog : When is the next available test slot in Ballymun1 or Ballymun2 ?

NCT : Mid July

Olddog : Can you book more than 5 weeks in advance ? ( its not allowed on the web )

NCT : No

Olddog : So you cant provide a booking ?

NCT : Thats right

Apparently when I called there was one slot in Fonthill available for all of June and no slots available in Drogheda for the next five weeks.
