What expences can I claim: medical, bin charges, union deds, other?

What medical expenses can I claim e.g. can I claim doctors bills.?
Can I claim refuse collection charges?
Can I claim union membership fees?
Are there any other common fees that I can claim?

If you happen to pay the 85 per month for perscribed medicines, you can also claim this as part of the medicial expenses claim.

Also if you're doing a course (full or part time) you should be able to claim tax relief on the fees paid (has to be fees not other expenses). If you're renting claim tax relief on the rent paid up to a cut off point. Oasis site gives details.
