what does it take to be a director

I am a self employed freelance with a trading name, but am not a limited company and have no staff. Can I take out a Director's Personal Pension Plan instead of a PRSA or standard pension? Are there special advantages to this? Can't find details, though I've tried on the Internet.

You can take out a Personal Pension or a PRSA. The issue of being a dirctor dose not matter. Which is better? Depends on your circumstances. The main difference is the charging structures.
