What does an addendum letter mean - contract

Hi,

Just a quick question, does anyone know what it means if after a recent move of department (had bullying issues and excepted a change in department temporary) they are now issuing me with an addendum letter to your contract which I will send out to you later this week.

I received that info when I requested a copy of my new contract for the new department?

It really depends on what is in the letter.

Your employer cannot change your contract without your consent. It might be that the letter records what your employer interprets as an agreed change.
