just getting a survey done on a new house im buying and should have the report by the end of the week. when i collect it should i give it to my solicitor or do i just try and decipher it myself? thanks a lot.
surveyors report-for the money you will pay take note.listen to the advice and the resolutions.if in doubt show it to your solicitor to run through the problems if any
Usually the report will have critical/urgent items and then a collection of smaller and then usually cosmetic items.
The main idea is to ensure that you cost any items that are mentioned in the
report and then decide if the house is still a runner.
Its also very important to check what was not checked by the survey. Make sure that the roof/attic space has been checked. Often central heating will not be checked and looking under the floor will not be checked.
