Hi folks,
I’m a complete novice when it comes to shares etc, and my query relates to Coillte Shares which were purchased for me by my parents many years ago.
I’m considering sell them, I understand they are worth anything from 800 euro to 1,800 each, but how do I go about selling them?
Is it foolish to do so? To have access to cash would help with bills etc.
Would appreciate some insight. Many thanks.

I doubt you have any shares in Coillte. Coillte is a limited company set up under the Companies Acts and all the shares are held by the Minister of Agriculture on behalf of the State.

As PMU says, unless you are the Minister, then whatever share certificate you have re Coillte is a dud. Sorry.

Could you be mistaking them for the Irish Forestry Funds?
