What colour tiles with Cherry kitchen units?

Hi,
Have recently moved to a new house with Cherry-wood kitchen units and black counter-tops in the kitchen. Really not sure what colour tiles to go with for the floor and wall area? Any suggestions? Don't want the room to be too dark with the dark wood units and counter - what would work best? Room is normal kitchen/dining area with patio door and large kitchen window?

Welcome to AAM.

IMHO something bright would probably be best but, of course, these things are personal choice really. I found when looking around showrooms that neutral colours with possibly 4 combinations to draw everything together looked best. One might be black to match the worktops.

A floor tile, neutral again, similar to one of the wall tiles helps to brighten things up also.

Its also very hard to make recommendations without seeing the whole kitchen.
