What channel on my router should i use?

My signal keeps dropping and pretty sure its interfering with my neighbors. Its defaulted at channel 6. I hear 1, 6, 11 are not overlapping channels, but i heard if someone else is using channel 6 it could still cause interference. So what channel should i try?
 
Download and run NetStumbler. Use this to see what channels the other networks are using and select one that is as far away from the others as possible. Of course if there are lots of networks this might not be possible.

You might also try adding the other networks to your exclude list to ensure that your PC isn't switching or attempting to switch from yours to another.
