What bank to save my house deposit with?

Hi, First time poster.. go easy on me!

I'm just wondering where is the best place to save my deposit for my house?
KBC, NUK or the bank you want to take out a mortgage with?

Also.. if you sit down with a bank and commit to saving your deposit with them, can they give you a cheaper mortgage?

Currently have 15k saved doing nothing for me in an instant access savings account. Can save €750pm after rent. Looking to buy in next 12-18months.

No need to save with the bank you plan to apply for a mortgage with. I recently got a mortgage with AIB. Had savings all over the place with several banks, except AIB! Didnt even have current account with AIB.

The only small advantage to saving with the same bank as mortgage application would be that you wouldn't have to submit statements when applying.

Have a read of the best buys, you may decide that the Nationwide UK 4.00% regular saver account meets your needs.

Is there a bank that would give you a lower interest rate on your mortgage if you save your deposit with them?

Nope, pretty sure no such product offering exists.
