Hi,
We had our Percolation Test done on Monday and Tuesday.
I’ve been unofficially told that we passed; with a result in the mid-t range.

What can I do now?
I’m not sure even with this result that we will be allowed a septic tank as Wexford County council are clamping down.
Has anyone here ever had a similar result? If so, what have you done?
Is getting a septic tank a lot cheaper than a Bord na Mona Puraflo treatment facility?

Percolation tests only let you know if you need a raised bed for percolation area or not, you will still have to buy a sewerage treatment system, be it Bord na Mona, Bio-cycle or one of the other systems. Essentially if your site passed the percolation test, you can install the percolation system straight into the ground, otherwise you have to build a raised bed with suitable graded soil to house the percolation system ( series of wavin pipes with perforations in them and a french drain system)

I knew I could rely on you Secman.
thanks for that.

What did you use? From earlier info that you supplied I see that you had a biosystem installed.
I presume they vary in cost/quality?

Dont go installing your percolation area at this stage. YOu havent even gotten planning permission yet. You will be driving heavy plant over the site. Do this last
