Just over two weeks ago I got a 'Doodle' panel for my 3 year old. The very next day the 'wipe clean' function got stuck. In trying to release it (myself!) I broke it.

I couldn't get back to the shop (quite far from where I live) until yesterday to bring it back. I had the receipt and they took it back no question at all.
To be fair I was not really expecting it as it had been two weeks; I had broken it myself (accidently); a 3 yr old could reasonably be expected to break it. But they replaced it with no quibble at all.

About 18 mths ago I had to bring an expensive mobile back because it simply stopped working after a couple of months. Again, there was no quibble at all and I was immediately given a replacement.

Horray for good customer service at last!
 
Have to agree 100% with you. I also had the same story, and I returned it with no questions asked, was told I could replace it or get my money back!! Great staff with great Customer Service!!
