Weekend break in W. of Ireland

We're looking to head away down the country next weekend, and we've been to the usual top spots in the W. of Ireland - Ennis, Kinsale, Galway Limerick, Killarney. Does anyone have any recommendations of a lovely town to visit that can offer a couple of good Irish pubs, a selection of good restaurants, and not too far away from the coast?

Kenmare is lovely and ticks all the boxes you mentioned!

Westport Co Mayo! Great town with some great pubs (matt molloys!) and fantastic restaurants!

Kilkee is great. Very relaxing.

I agree about Westport, it has a great buzz to it now and very colourful with lots of flowers

The Erris region in Co Mayo...town would be Belmullet.

Great beaches , fishing great golf course, spectacular scenery...if the weather holds up you will never want to go any where else again


Otherwise Westport Co Mayo...nicest town in Ireland

Have to agree Westport ticks all the right boxes.
Another place to consider is Dungarvan. Plenty good restaurants and a few good beaches nearby.
