Hi All

Can anyone recommend a wedding venue in Waterford, Kilkenny or South Tipperary - we are hoping to get married next year, and we are looking for a venue that is slightly different from your regular 3/4* hotel....looking for that "Special" location...

I've heard good things about Kilshane House in Tipp. http://www.kilshanehouse.ie and this place in Carlow looks interesting as well.

I've mentioned Waterford Castle in a similar thread before... very different location and ambience... you and your guests have to take a special courtesy ferry to get to the island and that's only the start of it! You need to visit it to see what I mean, their website doesn't really do it justice (and it's a nice website). Definitely check it out.

i would second waterford castle - my brother got married there at christmas time and it was absolutely magical. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. It's a small enough castle and will only take about 80 though - but at least the whole castle is yours.

really fantastic.
