Wedding outfit shopping - London

I am heading over to London in a few weeks time. My friend is getting married in June and I was hoping to pick up a nice dress/outfit whilst I am there.

Can anyone please reccomend some nice boutiques for this sort of thing in the London area? or am I better sticking to the likes of Harvey Nics / Selfridges?

I tend to buy a couple of outfits when I am on business in London but usually end up sticking all the usuals on Oxford street. It's just such a big city that unless you have someone that knows it well, you end up spending most of your time wandering around rather then shopping.

I take it that if your thinking of Harvey Nics / Selfridges that your looking at the higher end of the scale?
