Restaurant wanted.....60-70 people

Your help is required on this matter..... we are due to get married in Rome in march 2008. We have the church, hotel, flights, the really only issue is a venue for meal/afters of the wedding.

We were there 2 months ago and saw a lot of restaurants...but the same issue arose each time.....they could not seat that amount of people.....

We are going again over the xmas to try and seek more places. We could
do with some suggestions.....

Requirements - seat 60-70 people, reasonably priced, good food, not outdoor (as we were told that the weather in march is iffy)

Have you gone onto the weddings abroad thread on weddingsonline.ie - there will be loads of venue suggestions for you there, if you do a search or ask?.

Would you think of booking a hotel if restaurants can't accommodate the size of your party?

have tried hotels.....was given a list of hotels/restaurants from church, called and visited, but none suited the bill.....not that we are fussy, it's just she has an idea what she wants and is yet to find it....

We stayed at the Villa Palazzolo ( an old monastery) near the smaller airport in Rome that Ryanair fly into. It overlooks Lake Albano & is walking distance from Castle Gandolfo (Pope's summer palace).Palazzolo has a lovely little church attached to the Villa. Whilst staying there we were invited to an Italian Wedding . Beautiful setting & wonderful meal.It is just a pity that you could not combine the flights, accommodation, ceremony & reception all together. You may still wish to consider the place for your reception & hire a coach for your guests as it is a journey of about 40 mins from the city centre. The web site is www.palazzola.it
