Wedding abroad

Has anyone any experience of getting married abroad. We have the registry office booked for November 2006, so we are really only looking for a blessing. It will more than likely be just us and the kids, but I wouldn't mind going somewhere easily reached like lanzarote if others decided to come. I have been "researching" this for days and feel like giving up, any ideas?

A few travel agents have a rep who specialises in Weddings Abroad - don't know where you're based but check out....

Even if you don't use the above co's you can get ideas on the different destinations. Best of luck.

Getting a church blessing in Malta in June, already did the registry office thing here last year. Wedding coordinator is based in Dublin with some staff on location. She is Irish and so friendly. Looks after everything with the exception of your own flights/accommodation although she really helped us choosing a hotel to stay in as she has great local knowledge. The company I went with arrange weddings in Malta and Cyprus. [broken link removed]

Hopefully the wedding itself will go as well as the planning stage!
