I bought one of these this morning.

When I got to the shop, they were priced € 119, rather than 89.99 on the website. I queried this, and was told that they were not priced at 89.99 on the web. (I didn't have web access at the time to double check the online price).

Given that the item was advertised online at € 89.99, do Lidl have any obligation to honour this price ?

(I'm not saying "I was ripped off" - I saw the 119, queried it, and still paid it.)

I just checked their flyer and the price was €89.99. The cheeky buggers. Did you gets extras? The cover was another tenner etc. I would ring them if I was you. Doubt it makes a difference now since the price displayed in the shop was the price you paid. Still enjoy those summer evenings sitting out.

Mea culpa - I was acutally looking at the NI site, so 90 is the STG price. Correct link is here:

Still, 120 isn't a bad price for one of these - roll on the summer :)

Clubman,

If you look here

and here

you'll see that:

Patio heater = € 119.99 = STG 89.99 => Exchange Rate = 1.33
On the other hand, White Sun Lounger = € 34.99 = STG 19.99 => Exchange Rate = 1.75

Isn't there a slight difference in exchange rates there (neither of which equals XE's 1.43852) ? Given that I got the 1.33, I'm not complaining. :)

There's no onus on retailers to convert prices according to forex rates. They are free to charge any price that the market will bear.
