Web pages keep crashing when uploading photos

My webpages on Goolge Chrome and also Explorer keep crashing when I go to upload photos on Facebook or select photos to email attachment. This started to happen in the last week. I recently downloaded Glary Utilities and Malwarebytes. Would these have anything to do with it?

I had a similar problem with the Facebook upload utility for a few weeks under Firefox. I notice that they seem to have reverted to an older version of the uploader, so maybe there was a general problem here.

The photos may be large but I never had a problem before. I thought facebook convert them regardless of size. Also wondered why Chrome crashed when attaching a photo to an email.. Very strange
