We want to move house

I bought a house in 2005 and now we want to move to a bigger home. What are my first steps to doing this. Do i try sell my house first then look for house?

It may be wise to check with your bank to see how difficult it would be to get a new mortgage. No point selling your own house only to then realise that you cannot get another mortgage.

unless you want to keep your current home as a rental property.

I thought banks were no longer taking rental income into account, making this option much harder to get finance for.
