wave on lcd screen

I bought a new samsung lcd television in january.
and every so often the screen has a slight wave on it.
i have changed the channel and it seems to still be on it so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the reception.

would this be a common problem with lcd screens and should i bring it back?
or is this a problem with reception?

sorry don't know much about this stuff.

yes. i would check if it happens on say, a dvd. if its happening on every station it could be a problem with the tv. but make sure its not your signal from your cable/satilette
