Would anyone know if there a system, other than sending samples to labs, for detecting cryptosporidium, E-Coli, etc infections in the water if you have a well? Or would anyone know the best way to ensure that the well remains infection-free, (if this is possible?).

Thanks,

I think laboratory testing is the only way.
We get our water from a local public supply where there are lots of sheep, so we use a filter which removes crypto cysts, but that's only for the drinking water.
If you're interested, we get them from

Yes-you should get it tested.
If you are near a lab, then collect the sample equipment and take the test and drop it back. Its a lot quicker, you local water pump installer will be able to point u in the way of a independent water test crowd
