Spray a small drop of WD40 onto kitchen paper towel and polish the hob, I always found WD40 did wonders for stainless steel.

O onq Registered User Messages 4,388 21 Sep 2011 #3 Try washing the hob with warm soapy water - its just starch. WD40 may produce unwanted effects in a hot kitchen environment.
