water damage to tiles

hello,
I recently found a central heating leaking pipe in the concrete floor of my hall/kitchen/sitting room area. the laminate floor of the sitting room was destroyed.
my question is this, the tiles and skirting in one corner of the kitchen were saturated. skirting was rotten and tiles were wet with the grout turned black in colour. do you think the tiles could be damaged underneath?
a mate told me that moisture underneath the tile would casuse it to lift and be no longer attached to the floor by its adesive, is this true?
the tiles also seem to be gone off in colour slightly in the wet area.
any help appreciated, thanks in advance.
