Hi all, I am trying to play HD video from my multimedia hardrive but getting an error. Video file extension is 720P.Divx6.Ac3. error message is" max 720p resolution allowed". I am using LaCie Lacinema ITB HDMI multimedia harddrive. Also i am connecting the harddrive to TV via an Onkio Amp. I have tried different resolution combinitions but no avail. The harddrive can play DIVx videos. Normal videos are working fine. Any suggestions what might be the problem? Thanks Janubaba

I have same problem with my laptop...won't play HD movies....maybe it needs other s/w to do this?

It's probably an issue with codecs.

The AC3 is the audio surround sound format and isn't commonly supported as standard.

MKV would be the current most popular format for HD and is supported by a lot of players (though some don't do surround sound).

Your best bet is to search the support forums for your player as it's likely that others have the same issue as well as links and tutorials for updating the codecs.
