Washing Machine not spinning

Hi was hoping someone else may have experienced this and had an easy fix solution. Put washing machine on normal programme but half way through drum stopped spinning. Tried switching off and selecting another programme, same thing happened. Tried spin and empty option but neither would work. Now have half drum of soapy water and heap of soapy clothes to handwash. Any advice gratefully received.

To empty the drum try manually turning the dial to the spin/empty phase.

Perhaps the programme timer on your machine is faulty. Maybe give www.mastercare.ie a shout and see if they can help. I've found them good in the past.

Any chance the outlet filter is blocked, and the machine is stopping mid-cycle because it can't drain?

Hi there that usually happens when the drain is blocked. there should be an opening for the drain and you have to manually clean it out.

I had the same problem. I called out the repair man only for him to find a pair of knickers in the drain pipe. Knickers cost €3 in Dunnes. Call out cost €80.

Broken washing machine. Repair Man. Knickers. Hmmm - reminds me of a movie I saw once (or more).
