Washing Machine no working properly

I noticed last night when I took washing out of the machine (straight after it was finished) that it was very cold, as if it had been washed in cold water. Can I take it that for some reason the washing machine is not heating the water?

Try running a boil wash with the machine emty and see what happens; thermostat or heating element could be gone.

Thanks Carpenter, will do. If these are gone, can they be fixed or will I have to replace the machine. The machine came with the house (brand new house and applicances) but the builder never left the guarantees or the instructions.

If u have serial number of the machine and u think its less than 1 year old u could ring the supplier.

Element can be replaced but u will pay for it big time
