washing machine moving

has anyone had a similar problem with a washing machine moving during spin cycle, we currently have to push machine back after, as it moves about an inch out after spin cycle...

Sounds like the machine is not level. The drum in the machine is surrounded by a heavy concrete counter weight, if this is off center it will spin eccentrically and move the machine. Try levelling the machine - there are adjustable feet underneath at the front. Use a spirit level to check it in both directions. The user manual should give guidance for your particular model.

you could put rubber under each corner that might make it stick?

Is this a new machine? Did you remove the transport bolts? These hold the drum in place while it's being shipped. If left in place during use, the machine will end up moving, and in the longer term this will cause serious damage to the machine.

Removed transport bolts, but did have some trouble getting machine level with fitted units, it may not be completly with floor, will try to get legs level, then will try rubber mats.

thanks for your help

At least two of the legs (front two usually) should allow for adjustment to level the machine up. There's usually of nut on the leg for this purpose.

Failing that then put some timber wedges between the top of the machine and the counter top to stop it moving, did this with my own and it hasn't budged since.

Good Luck

if it's not level you are cutting the lifespan of the machine significantly, by as much as 50%.
