washing machine leaking water

Hi,

Just looking for some advice here.

My washing machine is leaking water. I took it away from the press and removed the back part of the machine.I found the source of the leak which is coming from the front, lower, middle part of the machine.

I half attempted to remove the rubber seal and I can see the water located at 6oclock at the bottom of the door

Can someone tell me if I replace the seal - will this resolve the problem or is their other seals I need to look at before replacing the seal ???

Try downloading the manual for the machine by going to the manufacturer's website, you may find something in that under troubleshooting.

Door seals often leak and it would be worth checking. Sometimes if you run your finger round the inside of the door seal you might feel a hole or tear.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I took the plunge and took the front of the machine off and was able to see the hole in the seal. Delighted with myself. Off to get the spare part tomorrow

Make sure it is unplugged!

Also, you can get a lot of spare parts much cheaper online, if you can wait for the post...
