Washing machine leak!

Hi All,
At the end of every wash, I'm noticing that there is a small leak on the floor coming from under the front of the washing machine just under the door. I know the filter is usually at the bottom right/left hand corner of the washing machine, however there is none there (white square that can be pulled out). Would the filter be anywhere esle? What's causing this problem? Do you think it'll cost alot to fix?

As all machines differ in layout of filter etc. you will most likely need to read/check the manual.

I note you do not state the make or model of the machine.

You could try ringing www.mastercare.ie and see if they can give you any advice. They've been recommended a few times on AAM.

The leak from the door sounds like it may be a faulty door seal.

On some machines, the filter access is behind the kickpanel at the bottom of the machine.

Some Hotpoint's didn't have any filter access.

is it a hotpoint by any chance?

If the filter panel is not visible, it should be behind the kickplate.
