Washing machine filling with hot water

forgot to say Miele another german maker of machines require water supply of between 2 to 10 bar flow pressure, not available in most houses!!!!

another possibility for yourproblem is the new plumbing may have contained some grit etc, and the valve did not have a filter fitted to it or even a hole in the filter, and this stopped the valve seat from closing, you still need a new valve though, not worth cleaning out the valve as it will fail later

Hi seaus. Yes, no problem before the move. I'll get the new valve where I bought the machine, I need to give them the no. on back of machine, serial no. or such, to ensure its the correct one.
