Can someone point me in the right direction?

I need to design and fit a wardrobe into one of the bedrooms, naturally starting point is some research. I have come across those links... for inspiration and ideas.

Is their any good places where i can buy nifty stuff like the railings, baskets without breaking the bank? Missus spent all my money on the clothes.

Any help at all would be great.

Thanks

Hi Kildarebuild,

We used Robeplan to install one large sliding door wardrobe in our bedroom. The guy came out to measure and quote and then about 2 weeks later the installers put it in. The guy designed a wardrobe asking me what sort of way we wanted it - I think what we ended up with was a fairly standard design but there is loads of room for both mine and my husband's clothes. Also you get a couple of wire baskets, shelves, one long shelf at the top, a section for hanging longer items (coats, dresses) and two bars which take everything else. I love it. The installers were quick and clean. They had to weight one end of the doors as our floor is a bit uneven (old house) so that it closes. We went for a semi-interior, dark beech/mirror finish which cost just under €1,850. We were very happy with the whole transaction.

I'm not affiliated to this company, just a happy customer.

I saw a few wardrobe fittings in Homebase - they sell sliding doors too fro DIY.

InHouse/Panelling Centre or Noyeks Newmans do wardrobes and they have some pullout fittings which I think are fairly cheap.

Ikea opens in belfast next week, they have lots of wardrobes and interior fittings, have a look on their web site. ikea.co.uk
