wanted: book on farm tax

Would imagine income tax for farmers same as for any self employed person. Don't have any suggestions however apart from ringing the tax office or checking out www.revenue.ie for booklets forms and info

There is a Farmers Handbook published by the Agricultural Consultants Association. It covers a wide range of farming issues including grants, supports and incentives, subsidies, retirement and succession along with a very comprehensive chapter on taxation. Their tel no is 051 640397

The bible on farming taxation probably remains Joe Hickey's "Tax Saving for Farmers". Published in 1993 or so, large tracts of it are now out of date and as such the book is no longer suitable for non-tax specialists but for professionals who will presumably be aware of what has changed in the meantime it offers an excellent insight into farm taxation issues in Ireland.

Thanks everyone. I have Joe Hickey's book: excellent concept but long out of date. The 2007 Farmers Handbook is being published mid-Dec after the budget, so I'll certainly get a copy then.
